Houston Texans - A New Look in 2024

Image
(SCORESTREAM) A Bright Start April 27th, 2023, The Houston Texans selected Quarterback C.J. Stroud with the second overall pick. The Texans just capped off a very terrible season finishing off 3-13-1, but there was hope after drafting their franchise cornerstone. The Texans selected several other notable players such as Wide Receiver Tank Dell and DE Will Anderson.  Once the season started Stroud took the league by storm, throwing for 4108 yards, 23 touchdowns, and only 5 interceptions. Tank Dell was having a very promising season before going down with a broken fibula in week 13, in the 13 games he played he finished with 709 receiving yards and 7 touchdowns. The Texans finished with a 10-7 record, and had a wildcard matchup against the Clevland Browns, against a veteran Quarterback in Joe Flacco. The Texans shocked everyone in a blowout win against the Browns, 45-14, Stroud threw for 274 yards and 3 touchdowns. The Texan's season would come to an end in the divisional round 10-34

A Dinosaur in Today’s Game? - Will the most dominant college player translate to the NBA

Image
A Dinosaur in Today’s game?       (SCORESTREAM) - Zach Edey's dominance in college basketball is something that's got everyone talking, and it's not just because of his towering height. This Purdue behemoth is redefining what it means to be a center in the game. His ability to control the paint on both ends of the court is just outrageous. On defence, he's like a wall—players think twice before driving the lane. And on offence, he's not just a dunk machine; he's got moves, making him a scoring threat from various positions. Purdue currently finds itself in the final 4 of the NCAA men's basketball tournament. Led by their dominant big man down low, Zach Edey with averages of 25 ppg, 12.2 rpg, 2 apg, and 2.2 bpg. Edey is currently dominating the college basketball scene, with his monstrous 7'4 height. Zach Edey seriously lacks speed on the court but he certainly makes up for it with his height and wingspan at the college level, but will this seriously

Big Apple Hoops - Do the Knicks have enough?

Image
Big Apple Hoops (SCORESTREAM) - In the Heart of Manhattan, where the lights of Broadway meet the hustle of the city. Lies the New York Knicks. A team with undeniable energy and passionate fans, after a pretty disappointing run in the 2010s, it seems that the Knicks are finally on the rise.  With Coach Tom Thibodeau at the helm, the Knicks have rediscovered their defensive identity, their gritty and tough, with players like Josh Hart, and OG Anunoby who are enforcers on the defensive end.  Despite this defensive prowess, the underlying issue with the Knicks which has been prevalent this season is that in some games it seems like the Knicks just have no identity on offence.  Jalen Brunson and Julius Randle are the leaders of the team, and well although they produce most nights on offence, other times they look lost out there, and when they are out of rhythm it seems to hold the whole team back. Although Brunson and Randle are both amazing offensive talents and all-star calibre players.

Miami Heat - A Cinderella Team?              (SCORESTREAM)  - The NBA playoffs are rapidly approaching with just about a month left to go in the season. When talking about contenders in the Eastern Conference this season, more often than not teams like Boston, Milwaukee and even Cleveland are in the mix. Last season in the 2023 NBA playoffs, almost no one predicted that the Heat would make it to the NBA finals, after losing their first play-in tournament game to the Atlanta Haw ks. This narrative of them not being a contender seems to follow them every year, but is this narrative correct?  Heat star, Jimmy Butler recently was quoted saying "It's that time of the year". he later added that he was referring to how they end up exceeding everyone's expectations                    As of today, March 24th, Miami sits at 7th in the Eastern Conference with a record of 38-32. Miami has only played around 30 games this season, with everyone being fully healthy.  Miami made a su
